A friend of mine picked up a National Receiver and all it says is National. The prior owner said it was an R115 and used by coast guard.

Along with other tubes are 4 each 117N7 tubes.

Does anyone recognize this radio.

Moore's book on receivers indicates it's similar to the National NC-200 less bandspread and crystal filter. It runs on AC/DC and was made for the US Coast Guard.

Yep, they arent very common but there is little interest. National made so many different models based on a handful of regular products that no one has them all that I know of.
