I was wondering if anyone might have a good color picture of the front panel of a Valiant II. I would like to use PhotoShop, cleanup the image, and print it on a vinyl type material. Then, put it over the area of the front panel that has the aluminum trim around it.

Ken,

I assume your paint is flaking off like the paint on my Valiant II.

I haven't completed the artwork yet but this is the system I am going to use to restore my Valiant II:  http://www.pulsarprofx.com/decalpro/Vertical/2_EXAMPLES/2c_Customer_Photos/Ham_Radio/Ham_Radio.html

Roger,

Thanks for the link. Mine looks like the before picture on the DecalPro web site. It would be nice to be able to buy the transfers, as the re-painting is not too difficult. I'll see if I can track down  Tom Scally in NJ.

I'm starting on a Valiant II restoration also.  Have you identified a color match for the for the front panel gray paint?  Apparently the flaking around the edges is a common problem but I haven't found a posting for the color.  Thanks, Jay
