Mike,

   Thanks for posting that link. It was referenced before in a thread that was eventually deleted two years ago, "To change or not to change -- capacitors". Boy we sure got polarized on that issue, and the moderators had reached their capacity of patience.  Grin

Interesting but not very good as it doesnt even touch on the short or long term reliability of reformed caps. IMO everyone is a source of equipment meltdown waiting to happen. Some people just have to learn the hard way.

There are also forums and individual web sites that go into the restuffing procedures in detail. This is important as there are some gotchas involved. I restuff paper and electrolytics in "important" sets which are those considered historic and/or quite valuable. Others are too important to do anything so are strictly for display.
