I hope someone has an original copy of MathCad software ver. 2001i who may be willing to sell it to me. Here’s the problem:

I have dozens of files calculated using ver 2001i that are inaccessible because the 2001i program crashed. I attempted to correct the problem by reinstalling with a backup copy of the software, but unfortunately, the reinstallation requires the ORIGINAL CD to authenticate the installation. I no longer have that original CD because it got lost in the mail during our trek from Florida to Michigan this Spring.

I contacted the company that bought out MathSoft, but they said they cannot support a program as old as 2001i. I tried one of their newer versions, but the format is different, and will not support ver 2001i. Therefore, I’m dead in the water unless someone out there has an original copy of 2001i who’d be willing to sell it to me.

Please, let me hear from you,

Walt, W2DU

Hi Walt,
Look for an email from me dealing with your issue.  I contacted my guru and he may have some ideas for you to try.
