Which reminds me, now that I have just finished breakfast, I need to shut off the computer, get my arse in gear and back to work on the house siding repair/painting project.  We don't have too many nice days left before the November gloom and pre-Thanksgiving monsoon season set in. Beautiful low humidity and 80-degree clear blue skies predicted for the next few days.

Sorry to hear that, Bill. It starts early up there.

This was first week of October in 2001. Centennial, Wyoming!

Nice day was Sunday on arrival at camp.
Snow came 2 days later!

A friend of mine just emailed me some pictures of his new place in Idaho with a half a foot of snow just dumped yesterday.

The shack here is in the basement.  Looking at the thermometer, the temp is at 62 which I find surprising at this time of year.  The temp in the basement for most of the summer was steady at 69 or 70. The temp usually lags considerably from one season to the next.  All of a sudden it's chilly.  I turned on the 813 rig, V2 and NC300 for the first time since spring to break the chill. The smell of dust on power resistors and tubes......
