I have the full documentation provided by Amperex to RTMA in 1953 for registration.

However its a 27 page PDF document and includes 8 tubes and I dont have PDF editing capability.

I also have another file with 3 more Amperex tubes.

Where can I post this to?

Off hand all I can suggest is google docs.  you have to have a google account.  You can upload files and select to make them public to everyone.  Then you get a url you can give to people.  The only catch is that there is a file size limit that is either 1 or 10 Gb, not sure.  You can purchase additional storage and it is pretty cheap.  $20/year gets you 80 Gb.

There may be something else that is easier and free and I don't know about it.  I know there are these free sites where you can park files but they have a time limit.  I am guessing you want some place you can put up the data that will let you leave it there no time limit.

How big is the file?
If it's under 5 Meg, you should be able to post it as an attachment.

Carl, Can you confirm that the AX9909 and 6083 are the same ?  I have both and they act, look, and perform the same. A lot more tube than the 5894 that is often subbed in the AX9909/6083s place.

Ive no idea when the 9909 came out and have read that the glass base was thicker on the 6083 which is the 1953 registered number. Then there are the ones with dual numbers. Since electrical specs didnt change I gues they could get away with it as do Eimac, RCA and others using dual ID's.

The AX9903 was their first attempt at an improved 829B and it suffered many glass failures at the plate pins. It was later reintroduced as the 5894. I have a NIB 9903 and many 5894's and their cousins.

Perhaps a backwards only compatability. Supercedes one way , IE The 6083 can readily replace an AX9909 application but not always so vice-versa ?

Could be the reason the AX9909 is so scarce while the 6083 are a bit easier to find . The dearth of readily accessible data for these tubes has given rise to considerable misunderstanding regarding replacements .

The 6083 works very well in my Champ in any event . I can whole heartedly endorse them as a replacement FWIW.

I had ones that were marked AX9909/6083. I always thought they were one in the same but I never looked into it very hard. I have some Amperex specs sheets on them. I'll have to pull them and compare to the ones Carl has.

Did you get the 2nd document? It has 3 more tubes on it.

Can you put those files in the Tech section so they dont get lost? It took me years to find them.

I plan to put all the sheets up. I also have some AX9909 sheets I need to scan. They will all be available soon.
