Anyone ever attended/raced in one of these?  Looks like a great way to send your old beater out in a blaze of glory....going to be one this weekend at Stafford Speedway in CT.  One of my kid's buddies will be competing..should be a hoot....

That "Thing" they have at the bottom of the page makes the HLR Cadaverlack look like a thing of beauty in comparison!

Back to the 24 Hours of LeMons, i love the insane penaltys that are laid down that include literally tarring and feathering of rule breaker's cars, and summary on the spot crushing of the vehicle of a repeat violator.

Terry - according to the 2011 schedule on their web site, the closest venues to you are Stafford Speedway, CT this weekend, and New Hampshire Motor Speedway in October (looks like its the weekend before NEARFEST).   They also were in NJ at Summit Speedway and the NJ Motor Speedway this spring.

I remember going to a stock car track out near Amsterdam, NY back around 1978 when I was living in Saratoga Springs - is that track still around?  Was very similar to the Waterford Speedbowl down here in SE CT.

Going to be brutally hot at Stafford tomorrow!

yes Chris, that track is still active. I have never been to it for an event but drove right by it when something was going on.

Thanks for the heads up on the others.

The only one I know out that way is the Fonda Speedway?

http://www.fondaspeedway.net/

I think Jane runs it. It's something about making up to the Vietnam Vets??
