A U.K. client is looking for a transmitter for 24/7 VOLMET (aviation/airfield wx) service. Seems big HF gear is drying up in Europe, or the UK at least. Must be capable of 5 to 10 kilowatts of SSB (Upper) output at 5.5mHz. A stand-alone transmitter is preferred, but a capable exciter/linear system will also be considered.

Another little tidbit just received, it will be used in a 50Hz environment, so it's a big plus if the rig is compliant or easily-adaptable, but not mandatory.
