Congrats, Warren. I know you've been looking forward to heading back home and getting out of Flori-duh, looks like the time has finally come. Good luck to you, hope this means we'll hear more of you on the bands. And see more of you at NEAR-Fest.

Guess ya never know who you are talking to on the air! Quite a lot of interesting stuff behind that call sign. Congrats to Warren on a great career and best of luck in the next phase of life.

I actually saw Warren on the national news a couple years back when they covered a story he'd reported on through his local affiliate in Tampa. It was a story about some guy the cops were after either stealing a motorcycle or just trying to evade them when they came to lock him up. All of a sudden, there was Warren. What a hoot that was!

I had worked with Warren here in Ohio in the late 70's. In fact, some of the other guys we worked with and I were just talking about him at the indoor fester this morning.
enjoy retirement Warren. You and Lona earned it!!!

Wishing you a long, happy and healthy retirement Warren.  Hope this means we'll be seeing ya at NEAR-Fest in the Spring as well as in the Fall.

I used to talk to Warren all the time on 75 AM going back as far as 1967 when we were kids.  I even bought my HR-10 off of Warren, if my memory serves me correct.  Back in those days, he was WA1GUD.

Even as a "kid", his on the air operating style was great.

One of my sayings is "you can always make money but you can't buy time".  I think its great that Warren is retiring and that will allow more time for him to spend with his family and friends.

Congrats Warren and best wishes,

Joe, W3GMS
