.420? Would not that require an 811 rig?

Okay, here it is April 7th, 1653Z...  I hear SSB signals on the
lower part of this band so I've tuned up the rig here to a big
100 watts to my CFZepp and am listening here on 21.420 +/-
a few cycles...      Do I have any takers?

Will let the stuff sit here for a few hours so let's see if some AM
action can occur up here where the air is rare... Delarare, USA that is!

EDIT -  1755 UTC - Just worked 4X4FR on 21.313 SSB with good
signal so band is open for DX...  Where are the AMers?

You guys need to hang out on a frequency longer than 5 minutes.  WB2EFS was calling CQ on 21.420 AM and by the time I was able to get off the phone and return his call (less than 5 minutes) he was GONE.

That may have been me, WB2EMS. I was hopping between 10 and 15 calling on each several times. Sorry I missed you, I'd enjoy chatting again. I will take your message to heart and spend more time dwelling on a frequency when I call. I expect to be mobile for most of the next week, so look for me again.

BTW, if it was me, I was running 2.5 watts carrier to a portable whip antenna. (buddistick, see www.buddipole.com)

Well, ya can always key the transmitter, go wash the dishes, ring the chimes and eat some maple slurpel..   Sooner or later, you'll hear a little voice.

Nice working you also Dave via the AM/SSB combo QSO so to speak. BTW, my rig is a Yaesu FT-102. Thanks for the kind audio compliment.
