I worked him on 17M AM also today.

I also has a two  way AM QSO with KW7Y on 18.165.

Whirl-wide !

Very cool, John.

Inspiring me to get things hooked up.

Question -- on your rig, the dial indicates a "Transmit Filament" but you apparently only had one filament turned on, the dial reads.  I don't understand.

Hi Paul, good to hear from you. I guess you must be referring to "X Fil" that is the filter in the rig. The K3 is of course solid state.
its been too long since we spoke on air. Hope you can fire up 15M soon.

Oh.

(messin' with you)

Yes, looking forward to re-connecting. It's been a long time since Cycle 23 gave us HOURS of visiting time on the radio on 10M.

I've been living off recordings that I made back then !

I will put to 15M the same rig you heard on 10M -- the pair of 810s modulating a pair of 7527A.

Looking forward to hearing that Paul. I have a clip of my KW Vanguard on my website that you recorded b ack then. It is very short.
I won't have any trouble hearing you.
not heard too many of the regular calls yet. W8VYZ, KW1I and others.Work Nick VE3OWV regularly on 15.
Don't leave it too long or the band will go out for the summer.

John,

It was great hearing how the "Tron" sounded across the pond!  I guess his antenna number 1 had the edge, but it was interesting to see how close in performance all the antennas were in signal strength.  I think number 4 was the weakest but still good copy.

The K3 seems to do a decent job with AM as well.

Like Steve said, I like the music as well.  Very nice.

John,
This summer goes up the new 80' tower and on it will be a Mosley TA-33 which does a decent job on 15M.  Yes it will be good to work you.
Best Wishes,
Joe, W3GMS
