Well after much soul searching and deep thought, I have decided to sell my Johnson desk kilowatt xmtr.
This one is serial no. 100242 made in "55. It is in original used condition with it's share of scratches and the like.
Not dented or hacked with the original iron and comes with the Ranger that has been converted to allow the drive
to be reduced without the use of a padder. The rubber top of the desk has foot marks on it where there has been
receivers sitting. There is a smoked piece of glass on the top and under the ranger.
This xmtr. has been modified for 160 meters and can be taken out to put it back to original if you wish. I can put it on the air
to demonstrate, but I do not have a 160 meter ant.
I am looking for $4500 for this rare transmitter. I would also consider
trades of a late model Yaesu FT-1000D, Icom 775DSP, Yaesu FT-2000, Kenwood TS-950 SDX or maybe an Icom Pro III.
Any one of these would be plus cash and this would be pickup only in Northern Illinois.
