I would like to find a power strip that has multiple outlets, each controlled by it's own separate switch.

Since many boat anchor radios have the AC line switched by a suspect rotary switch, it would be nice to have a power strip that you can plug in 6 or 8 units, each controlled by their own rocker switch.

I would rather not turn on all my radios at the same time, as a traditional power strip would do.

Yes, I could build one, but maybe somebody knows of a commercially available outlet strip.

Surge protectors would be great too.

WOW I only saw something like that in the Philippines. Very nicely made with metal and small groups of receptacles powered by rocker switches.

BUT GOOGLE is your friend

In the mid 1980's there was a firm in Ohio that made some really nice ones aimed at the PC market.  They had 4 to 8 individually switched outlets plus a master switch for the entire strip and some form of surge suppression was built in.  If you can't find anything new that fits your needs keep an eye on ebay.  If I had a way back machine I would go back and buy several!

Hammond (of transformer and chassis box fame) also makes a nice one.

Yep, the one on Amazon is perfect for my use.  I already have a power strip under the desk and this one can replace it.

I'll just have to mount it where I can see the switches so I turn on what I want.

Thanks all!
