I haven’t used my Valliant in several years so I decided to fire it up. It has devolved a couple of little problems. As I go higher in frequency the grid current goes down.
So on 160, 80, 40, its fine when I hit 20 it starts to fall off. And by the time I get to 10 it's down to about 2 mills. I went through it and checked all the tubes OK. So I checked all the voltages the bias is OK. I did notice that the keyer for the VFO isn't working. I went to adjust it as the manual says to no avail. I'm thinking a cap went bad while it sat on the shelf. I was hoping that someone has had a similar problem at one time.

Thanks John

Well I guess I was on my own so I shot gunned it. I pulled the VFO apart and checked every component and replaced anything suspect. I started looking around the 5763 and did the same. It works now as it should.
