Well hoping for a nice Deerfield but needed today to be nice. My first contractor in 33 years here. Nail guns going crazy on the roof and my back will not be hurting in the morning, only the wallet.
Darn sky light took out 8 sheets of plywood. What a fool i was to ever install it.

Fingers crossed here for next weekend, Frank. We had a little yard sale yesterday and sold some of the crap piling up in the garage along with 4 lbs of the latest pecan crop. Will be bringing some up to you this time around if you're still a pecan fan.

The spring NEAR-Fest was a record-setter for us. Hopefully this event will follow suit.

Cool,
I'll be there if the WX permits.

Well they did the roof in one day. I was talking to one of the guys who really kicked butt. I told him that in '83 4 of us stripped the roof and put down 40 sheets of plywood but we only got shingles on 1/2 the roof that day. BUT,
They had a shingle lift on a ladder and 3 nail guns. We used hammers.
We did have 4 girls help us strip and do some of the shingles. By afternoon they manned the blender making drinks.

WX has never stopped us before. We don't have rain dates. We have a hamfest. Wink

Well, there's your problem.  Never hire strippers to help with roofing Wink  I am surprised you got any roofing done with that show going on.

only a 70% chance !  and 30% on Saturday...

Factor in 60% of the time they are wrong
And that leaves a 58% chance of sun!

Yes, but there's a 100% chance we'll have a hamfest. So, we win. Those who stay home lose.  Grin

The weather ought to be perfect... I can't make it, therefore it will be perfect.
