I can now enjoy ham radio on my phone.  I have a Sprint EVO 4G phone.  The echolink app is free.  Download it to an iphone or any Android phone. You have to fax your license in to get your free account activated. I took a cell phone picture of my license and sent it to them on the website. My account was on in a few hours.

This is really neat. I can sit anywhere and browse echolink nodes and listen in or join it. The phone turns into a push to talk radio that works just like an HT.

I also have a real time band condition program with call sign look up and I have been enjoying the free scanner program also. I can listen to the cops just about anywhere in the US now over the phone.
