Stickam is pretty cool for real-time video QSOs. It's like a party line where everyone can be on at once.

It looks like it's not too much trouble to record a live session and archive it for people who missed the action, like me.  Wonder if that's possible for next month onward.

And are the "hosting" stations on Stickam feeding their transmitting computer audio with their audio for radio transmit and receive?  Seems like a tap from the station board is all that's needed, but it might be the dreaded laptop mic picking up the radio speaker / mic.

Anyway, keep us posted. Good resource to let us on the right side see / hear the AMers on the west.

Very cool.   The Stickam folks gave us a very warm welcome.  They were quite excited to have East Coasters checking in, and had several questions about our operations.  One of the fellows demonstrated a DAP that he had just finished troubleshooting, which sounded very good.

Oh, the audio feed was from the fellow hosting the Stickam conference. He picked it off his receiver audio.

Yeah that was Clark KE7TRP a regular forum user here with the DAP.

The net on Wednesday evenings is really fun to watch and listen.  Even though my 75 M AM signal is not reaching the west coast during these summer months, I still enjoy logging on the stickam and watching/listening to the action.

The host is usually wj7w, dave and he ports his received audio through stickam and sounds great.  You can mute his audio and listen to some of the other stations audio, but many of them just use a mic to pick up the audio in the room.  Some actually put the receiver audio through the sound card.

Nevertheless the participants are fun and welcoming.  Text chatting to the group is fun while the action occurs.

I'm hoping to be able to actually check in on the air this winter.
