I was recently contacted by Walter, XQ2DWO. Seems there's a budding AM group in Chile. Check out his web site. It includes info on AMers in Chile and elsewhere in South America. As the higher bands open up, let's hope we can talk to some of these guys.

AM Siempre AM

I love it. (Always AM)
The first thing you see when you hit the page.

Down further is reference to 7175 Khz (40 Metros)

That shouldn't be a difficult toss.

In addition to Steve's correspondent Walter, other stations & gear to listen for :

CE3RN  Pedro Kocher Grotzinger. (51 años en AM) La Reina, Santiago. ( casero, 250 Watts)

CE3SIE Miguel Angel Sanches. Ñuñoa, Santiago. (Collins 32V3,100 Watts)

CE3AM Ira Curtis. Colina. (Collins 32V2, 100 Watts)

CE2RKL Mario Morozin. Viña del Mar. (TMC, 1000 Watts)

CA2ULS Osvaldo Jeria. Viña del Mar. (Yesu FT101, 20 Watts)

CA2RVM Eleazar Soto. Llo Lleo. (Icom IC77, 25 Watts)

XQ2DWO Walter Navia. El Tabo. (Geloso G222, 40 Watts)

P.S. -- Steve one of the links from that page is to a French group. It includes your old "bizlink" URL for The AM Window, and an old "bigcountry" URL for amfone.net.  I am dropping the webmaster a line with updates.
