In today's (February 3rd 2011) there appeared a nice article about the radio station we are building for the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center (formerly the Christa McAuliffe Planetarium) in Concord NH.

http://amfone.net//w1rc/docs/NH_Union_Leader_Article_2-03-2011.pdf

Thanks to the NH UNION LEADER for giving us permission to place this story on our Site for all to read.

There's more to come as we get closer to the dedication on the 14th.  Hopefully we will be able to place all our press clippings on our Forum.

ENJOY!

That's awesome. Go NEARFest!

Could we have a special event station?

We sure can. Let's discuss it this weekend.

Good to see the Planetarium station come to fruition. I know you've put endless hours into pulling it all together, Mike, so congrats and thanks for your extra efforts as well. I'm sure Greg would be impressed and pleased to be associated with it, though I bet he'd also have a cheeky comment or two.

Of that I have no doubt!  Too bad he isn't here to see it.

What a wonderful accomplishment. Congrats all around. It's always great to see my fellow planetarians achieve a milestone such as this.

We don't have a station in-house, but it'd be great to have a planetarium to planetarium QSO sometime from the "Solar Powered Ham Station" we set up for our Community Science Days twice a year.
