That was my count Smiley

There can't be many circuits that are not metered in that rig!  I wonder if one of them monitors the operators BP and pulse rate?

I do not have any porn pics (of the innards).  This is one of several identical rigs, last seen in Tennessee.

I can find some additional pics if they are needed to identify the rig, but someone, somewhere, must have seen this rig before....

What is it?

Q: What is it?

A: Something I wouldn't mind having in my basement shack!
I wouldn't mind seeing the innerdz though, and wonder what's the tube lineup inside.

Derb may have a point there.  The bottom pix is a GE AC power supply of some kind; HD for sure.  Little too blurry to tell for sure.  However, looks like the 3 toggle switches are marked 'tank operation', vacuum operation' and 'heater operation'.  Tried to spruce up the pixs to help the situation, but no go.  Now you've got me wondering more.

Yup, Derb is on to something.  I referred to it as a "rig", but said nothing about a transmitter.  Couple more pics for clues......

Pic "rig3" is a close-up of the specification label from GE.

If pic "rig5" does not give it all away, I will be very surprised.  Pics were taken Sunday slightly west of Knoxville.  The operators all seem to be YLs!  Can you name the town?

Oakridge Tn.

The Slab nailed it first.  Superhet66 identified what the rig was.  On my way back from Virginia last weekend I stopped at the American Museum of Science and Energy.  I have wanted to stop there for years, finally had time in my schedule for a visit.

From their website:

http://www.amse.org/

"The museum opened in 1949 in an old wartime cafeteria. It was originally named the American Museum of Atomic Energy. Its guided tours took visitors through the peaceful uses of atomic energy. The present facility, opened in 1975, continues to provide the general public with energy information. The name of the museum was changed to the American Museum of Science and Energy (AMSE) in 1978.

The Story of Oak Ridge: A panorama of historical photographs, documents and artifacts explains the Manhattan Project and the construction of Oak Ridge, TN."

Derb, I have no idea why they put the scope up there.  It was interesting to me because it is identical to the three-inch Dumont I used as a kid.  Dad still has that scope, and it still works!

The scope had to be that high to catch the tops of the waveforms. Wink  The museum at Oakridge is really an interesting place.  I think I could have spent days in there.

We took a wrong turn going to the museum and ended up at the gate going into the national laboratory......armed to teeth guards, took our picture and checked us out before telling us how to get back to the museum....Not a good feeling!
