Thanks for posting the excellent site.  I have been hearing more and more folks having fun building various versions of XTAL set these days.

wonder if one could make a old TRF set perk on 160? it would be a FB challenge to mod say a atwater kent 20 into something that would be usable when condx are good and slopbuckets are few. get a AK horn and mortify it to take a small fullrange speaker in the base. swap the 1920's output transformer for some modern guts inside.

would be super groovy looking.  Cool
