Drove out at 6am from PHX.   Got there around 10am.  Not a whole lot going on.  Got lots of Silver mica block style caps. Like valiants use. Some big ones as in broadcast transmitters.  At the end I found a Tall Bud case like a globe king uses and the Bud reciever case.  Real cheap.   All in all, A good trip.

I was there last year....The hamfest site (fairgrounds) was just off the departure end of the fighter base...Lots of screaming low level takeoffs right overhead ...Very cool....

Not good this year. It was the harrier Flight training day. Unless you have experienced it. You have no real idea how loud one of those things is hovering overhead.
