Use an "AM Courtesy Filter" to limit transmit audio bandwidth  +-4.5 KHz, +-6.0 KHz or +-8.0 KHz when needed.  Easily done in DSP.

Derb:  Found out years ago that Murphy was right.  One of his correllaries to his law is:  if it ain't in stock, it ain't useful.  Guess that's why my basement is a mess all the time.  And it seems like the part I need on Saturday night is not in stock.

I love the smell of bagfuls of new, axial lead, yellow poly capacitors in the morning. It smells like....victory.

And you can always sell the discarded caps on eBay....
