yeah, some ssb'ers were working 3735 this afternoon ; dinny net didn't do much but we missed you Sunday night.  The Tron and Marcy came on.
3 AHE and the all the gang gave him warmest regards. Marcy sure sounds nice on AM. She has the voice for it.  .... a natural.

damn, I am sorry I missed that. I was ready and waiting for the dinny net but there were slopbuckets on 3735 and nobody piped up so I didnt either. of course now the band is gargling ballz.  Roll Eyes eh, I'm gonna take a 4 hour nap - maybe some of the late night crew will be on.

It's an inverse law. Now that you've got a station up, the band will crap out.

if'n the station was crapped out, the band would be worl' wide with no noise, armchair copy OM QSO's...

The other time the band craps out is usually right after i make some changes to th antenna and I start to wonder what I did wrong!?!?

Yep, I helped a buddy put up a high dipole last week and the few days I was there conditions tanked.  Mother Nature knew what we had done.

Johnny, wish you were here....some pretty bodacious sig reports are being received.  Cool All the gear is strapping. Amp does a full KW out on a  strap test keydown.

Tim: I'm workin on 160...I wont be able to bring it about for a while tho. not enuff $$$.  I still have dragons to slay on 75. I'd like to put my 4-400's to use. Next step: get antenna back to 45~50 ft in the air. That will bring a lot of db's by itself.

When I get the rack mounted stuff built, the current setup will probably become a 'in the house' deal, maybe in the master sleep chamber.

I gave up listening after 10 minutes, weak signals and incessant static crashes.

last night was really bad for this time of year. Sounded more like early Sept condx. I think tonight will be much better. Clear wx map for several hundred miles around from here.

Tim, got the Heathkit EA-3 going driving a 4 ohm Polk speaker--listening to the soothing sounds (if static crashes are soothing) of 1885.

It was not that bad tonight for me in AZ man.  Heard Don Rag chewing with k9act on 160.  Comming in nice here.  20 min old buzzards though.. Lost interest.  Went up to 40 and was suprised to hear lots of action.  Then settled in on 75 at the ghetto.  Lots of West coasters talking away.

Early evening (4:00-6:00) condx seems to be the best around here for local to medium distance stuff around here. Between 6:00 and 7:00 the band usually goes long and crappy.

howeva, it does seem to get back somewhat into shape around 11:00-midnite. I had a really nice QSO last saturday around 11:30 with WU2D and W3TIM on 3.725
Nice big strapping signals, and Tim was absolutely totally dead full quieting my receiver, and he was only about 100miles from me!
