I have the RFSpace SDR IQ and really like it as I dod a fair amount of traveling.
Is anyone aware of a similar rcvr for VHF? I have been searching a bit on the web and found this:
http://www.scannermaster.com/Remote_1_Single_Stream_Software_p/01-520860.htm

Anyone familiar with it?

I do have an IC-820 that would serve my needs if I could remotely control it.
Thanks and 73

I would build a simple down converter to operate at VHF. Say a DDS driving a doulle balanced mixer into a roofing filter.

Are FETs supposed to glow like that?

QS1R only requires a preamp and band-pass filters to use at up to 300mhz.

I think you lose sensitivity when you under sample to receive VHF.
