Hi guys
I ran across a Stancor A-3898 Mod transformer in my junk. It is the Poly-Pediance type 300 watt 260 mil primary and secondary. About 37 pounds does anyone have experience with this transformer.

While it has a gap in the core to handle DC current component on the secondary, it is best to use a coupling capacitor to block the DC on the RF side, and use a secondary modulation reactor (what some call modified Heising). This will yield better low freq. response with the Polypedance.
