There were 2 HB's printed for 1942. The first was the usual ham version which naturally was released in the fall of 41.  The other was the Defense version.

Glad to hear the receiver is functioning Pat. That LO problem was an interesting exercise.

Carl - have you ever tried regeneration in the IF? I wonder if it is worth installing that feedback trimmer? I am doubtful.

Not on purpose Pat Grin

The Halli SX-140 used it and so did the S-38A and later. Pretty much of a PITA IMO. The first thing I did to the SX-140 was rip it out and install a 6BE6 mixer to drive the 262 kc add-on stages.
