Jack I believe you are asking if anyone makes crystals for the little Johnson CB rigs in the 29 Mc range.

Get a service manual to start. That will tell you the crystal formulas you'll need to order crystals.

Alternatively, examine any existing crystals to determine operating characteristics:  TX frequencies, (crystal frequency and operating), IF frequency, and receive characteristics (frequencies), etc.

JAN Crystals is still in business:  http://www.jancrystals.com/

An altenative is asking around for suitable crystals. I have a small trove of 10M crystals for CB's. I'm sure  others do as well.

Ed,

As per the manual, "Transmitter and receiver crystals are 3rd overtone series mode type with the receiver operating 455 Kc's below  the Transmitter Frequency" if that helps any..but 29 Mc's and one crystal 455 kcs below would be just fine.

I think I'll call Jan tomorrow an work on this right now I'm waiting on the Electrical Lineman from the Power company, seems I have a loose fitting either on the pole or at the Tap...my lights have been blinking bright and dark all weekend...They say it's on our side..as always..sometimes it's hectic living on a Farm ... Cheesy

Jan and International both have all the information they need to make these crystals on file.  Just give them the "channnel frequency".

I'd order up 29.000,  29.010 and 28.990 to start.  That should cover you.  You can always order up more.

BTW - haw many channels are these rigs?

Jack, I have  just the "leenyar"  you need:   A "Thunderbolt 350", runs  three 6LQ6 driven by one.  About 300W plus output with 5W drive!   Wink     Tongue

Or is it a "linyerd"?    "Lungyard?    I've heard it called by all these monikers.
