A local TV station does some liveshots from a field day site.

About 5 minutes into this video, nice vintage gear segment included.

That was surprisingly good coverage.  I recognized the 2B and 390; didn't ID the WW2 rig in the middle.

That was an RAL which was the HF side of the RAK/RAL setup.  These were perhaps the best regenerative sets ever made (I am sure the most expensive) and they still perform very well for CW work.  The RAK VLF/MF receiver covers from 15 to 600 Khz. and the RAL covers from 300 KHz. up to 23 Mhz.  They have built in audio filters and are built like the proverbial tank.

If you come across one or both of these and want to experience a truly fine regen then pick them up!

If anyone is interested I will post some interior shots of the receivers later this weekend.
