I heard K9ACT calling CQ many times on 20M. And there were QSO's. I could not jump in. My K1JJ tuna has to be modified to go past 40M. I know there was a thread and I have the scheezo for series tuning and parallel tuning.
The dipole is almost long enough for 160M so, going up in freq would require the cap to be in the circuit a little differently than for the lower bands. The tuner, as originally built, was parallel tuning.
hmmmm I'll have to think on this.
Another balanced tuner I had, had a feature to put the variable cap before the feedline or after the feedline, for high impedance.
Something to think on, unless someone can shed some light in my dark memory banks.

OK It's Field Day!!!

Got the tuna all figured out and marked for 20M. Going to put some juice to it after the mayham settles down.
