Well with recent surgeries this is the first NEARFEST that I was able to attend in over a year.
The WX was ok fine. My friends gave me a surprise birthday party and I slept very comfortably
in a nearby hotel. Can't sleep in my Mustang anymore!
Below is a picture of WA1HLR getting a belated Good Guy OO report for having a fine business AM signal
in 1999 and while helping out a new AM'er get tuned up correctly. The card had been lost
but now it's found, Amazing!
Below is a picture of Q working the class E station while roving the fair grounds.
On the one hand you had the class E station
with HIGH POWERand the 75 meter 1/2 watt carrier, walking stick portable,
with pwiss weak power and no antenna to speak of. Ah but the the walking stick portable had a trump card! When you transmitted the eyes lit up in the skull!
I actually had three QSO's while walking around the fair grounds, the class E station, KW1I, and W1NZR
