WOW.  Has anyone been following this story?

Frumpy old British spinster living with her cat enters talent contest and blows them away.  Shocked

A real Cinderella story on reality TV.

Old news.
I admit, I've been out of the loop.  You don't see this stuff on CNBC.  I just noticed it on my Yahoo page.  Embarrassed

True enough, you don't see much on anything ending in those three letters(though I hear there's a guy on that particular channel who plays with dolls and squeaky toys while giving financial advice?). Fox aired it on Tuesday I think, but I came across it Monday morning on the radio in my truck, of all places. Okay, so it was FM...

Thanks for posting that Ed, pretty amazing voice!
And story, almost like a fairy tale, but not sure she gets the prince in the end...might just be a million dollar recording contract. Seems like a very simple, down to earth lass, you have to respect folks who don't let fame go to their head, and folks who actually work for a living to boot!

Thanks for posting that link!

A little powder and a little paint
Can make a girl what she ain't.

She also needs to shave her moustache.

But with a little makeover she could look as nice as many of the top cabaret singers to hit the scene over the past century or so.

I was going to post this........under the title of "Does this board have any heart".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luRmM1J1sfg&NR=1
But I was upstaged!!
My reputation on AM is that I am some of drunken idiot........ well at times that may be true. BUT every time I view this video I cry. Its so nice to see something like this happen to a person that has NEVER had a chance to realize there dream.  (I cant wait to see the follow up posts.)
I hope that this board DOES have a heart and folks can realize that there is more to the world than their own freeken little world.

Todd,
No problem.......I think most folks that know me, realize that I am a neurotic, under achiever, have no self esteem, nasty temper especially when full of vodka, suffer from severe depression, trying to get my shit together AM'ER.
Other than that..........Life is good............I appreciate your humor..... Roll Eyes

Its tough being me.
Thanks to all u folks that I like to think of as my "family".

It was in the news to-day that Susan finally got a date... with one of the BGT hosts.  He's taking her out for dinner.

She's the antithesis of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton, isn't she.

well yes, unlike Spears she can sing, and unlike Hilton, she didn't get known for making a homemade pr0ntape of herself getting the bottom knocked out of her and putting it on the net.

Quite unlike the others. She has talent.
