Forced to use the 1000D on Am while I repair my 500 and 300 WRLs.  Found out its not to bad!

This one has the Inrad filters.

Scan taken on AM, No EQ.   The rx used is only 7k wide.. Need to scan with a 10K Reciever.. However.. This does not look that bad and I get decent reports.

Sweep from 20K to 10,000.  Blue is AVG and Red is Peak during the Sweep.

Clark,

Check your email.   I sent you a quote from a friend using two of those radios since 1996.  He runs direct fed BM via 220uF cap and extended SSB.  Big audio processing, via a rack.  I prefer using the PC and the software I sent you a week ago.

You play with the rack processor yet that I sent with the software?

I have the 802 mixer running with the 1000D now and the big studio mix.

I have now used the EQ to get it out to 7k on the top end. Its pretty flat. I am feeding it directly at the Audio input jack on the back of the radio. Not the front mic socket.

I am aware of feeding the BM directly. I just dont want to modify this radio at this time. Its my main SSB rig and currently my backup rig for AM use.  Maybe one day, I will try it. For now I am getting great reports on the audio!

I tried using the software, but when I feed the Audio out to the mixer I get a major hum. I think I need to get an isolator. The laptop is free floating and not grounded.
