The Air Force dropped in the latest P&W F100-229 motors in the Thunderbirds F16s for the super bowl fly over. Flame should be a bit longer out the back.

Had the set on but wasn't really watching closely so I missed 'em. When did they fly over, during the National Anthem? Ducked into the temporary radio room toward the end of it. How'd they look?

Haven't had Thunderbird since the 60's. After a few, everything looked good.

And yer a wiser man for it, Pete. That and Old Duke were the paper bag poisons of choice for the winos around my town in the 60s-70s. Then came Boones Farm, predecessor to the wine cooler. Wink

I did catch them as they flew over, but unfortunately it looked like they didn't light 'em off. I'm a sucker for airshow stuff. I always like watching the F-15 make a maximum effort take off and then stand on its tail and go vertical to infinity with both afterburners lit.

I watched the Thunderbirds as a kid.  The "Supermarionation" puppets were kinda cheesy, but the plot lines were always entertaining. Grin
