.... oh you British !  Roll Eyes

Awaiting your pix.

The closest I could find to you loco, & from the numbers mostly visible in your first pix is http://www.trainshoppe.com/cgi-bin/page2?Rec=3883
Your pix looks more like 2054 but there h'ain't such a beast so it must be the 2055 with ther Wachart(sp) gear & links half way back the drivers.

And I think you have the 2046W tender instead of the one in the url photo.

Found some old pics I took of the steam engine a few years ...here you go.

Can anyone identify the mfr of this twin cylinder unit? Dad just told me it was a childhood toy of his friends in the 40's.

My most memorable Christmas gift was 1956 when my dad gave me my first radio kit ... the one transistor Knight Kit with headphones, solder and solder iron. It was diode detector and one transistor audio amp.  I had it working in an hour or so and put up 200 feet of wire and listened to the original Wolf Man Jack on XERF in Cuidad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico. After Wolf Man Jack I listened to Brother AL ....

Next Christmas my dad made me a homebrew kit for a 6U8A super regenerative receiver with plug in coils for 80 and 40. Had it for several years making many additions and mods and even used it as a novice. I still have qsl cards from contacts made using this rcvr and my one tube 6L6 xmtr later upgraded to a 6DQ6 courtesy of a junked TV.

PAUL ...Thanks for looking for the BVL coils. I recently bought a nice clean set off EBay and have a new still in box jack bar and swing link. Now have to do some redesigning to fit it in the small xmtr.

Yes, it's the 2055 Loco and the tender could be from my other loco as the whistle in this one worked better. I brought them both out and used the best of the lot for get us railroading in time for Christmas. A little Cramolin R-5 on the track and wheels and away it went.
