1950s pinup model Bettie Page dies in LA at 85
Published - Dec 12 2008 09:57AM EST | AP
By BOB THOMAS

Bettie Page, the 1950s secretary-turned-model whose controversial photographs in skimpy attire or none at all helped set the stage for the 1960s sexual revolution, died Thursday. She was 85.

Page was placed on life support last week after suffering a heart attack in Los Angeles and never regained consciousness, said her agent, Mark Roesler. He said he and Page's family agreed to remove life support. Before the heart attack, Page had been hospitalized for three weeks with pneumonia.

Yep. Someone needs to brush up on their Photochop skills. A Warrior linear might have been a better choice.

I stole that pic off a site a few years ago only for it to show up here - Oh the humanity...

Mark QHQ - nice to hear you are not underwater or a frozen corpse from the ice storm. We are lucky people - a couple of miles in almost any direction and no lights!

It is a disaster up here with 400,000 out of power and temps in the teens tonight.

In fact this afternoon Boston Billiards (local watering hole for holiday libations) was dark and we had to go to Shortys. XYL "suggested" that I pick up dinner on way home so I "suggested" that she call it in. The resturant which is owned by some Greeks here in Manchester was on a dark street - no power - no traffic lights and then the resturant all lit up with a big OPEN sign and people out the door for pick up. They had a big generator humming along the side of the building. Be prepared!
