My log for the past 30 days shows  40 contacts on 14.2855 AM.. That portion of the band is usually very busy in the mornings with various net and county hunting operations so I usually get on around 1-3 pm west coast time... I always have to call CQ...It helps to be LOUD..(I run 350 watts of carrier)....A thick skin is required (sometimes) when SSB stations that own the freq come by to chat...All in all, I have a good time, and enjoy talking to stations that are making their first AM contact ...I am starting to run into a few of the regular AMers this winter...W5QXX, W8VYZ, W1LYD/VY1, VE4BX so there is some activity... I'm still trying to get a Japanese  AM station QSO.... Good luck and see you there......  Steve
