I have been experimenting with using 6J6's in audio work.  They seem to be very linear with only 1 to 2 mA of plate current and making reasonable gain in several circuits but are just EATEN up with Miller effect in a common cathode, grid driven voltage amp (common config for audio V amp) the corner freq for hf rolloff is only about 1 kHz .... truly wierd ... tried 1/2 of a 12AT7 just to verify test eq and saw normal 40 kHz or so ... went to RSGB, Orr, ARRL, and Terman texts for guidance with nothing much found ... big surprise on this excellent UHF mixer ... the tube manuals show similar interelectrode capacities to 12AT7 .... construction of the tube shows very close electrode spacings ... any one got a hypothesis ?
