Spent most of my money allotted to this weekend on a National NC-88. Not the NC100 or 300, but it's pretty similar to the NC-109 in layout. Hopefully it won't turn out as deaf as all my homebrew receivers have.

Has anyone here every actually worked on one? I can find all kinds of NC-100 and HRO's, but nothing like this. The radio works fine on the broadcast band, once the old electrolytic filter cap was replaced. The bandswitch knob is missing its setscrew, so i haven't tried it on the other bands yet.

Also, does anyone know where i can find a replacement multisection can that fits in this radio? I can find other sizes, but I don't care to overload the 5Y3 rectifier.
