Frank was putting in a strapping signal last night on 160 along with others in the 'gray hair' group. Had the SP-600 on for a while to give it a little workout. Heard Pete 'VZR and a crew on a bit earlier too.

All this through a 10" or so piece of wire stuffed into the ant switchbox SO-239 (ants were hooked up elsewhere).

You sounded mahhhvelous, Frank. Congrats on getting the bedroom drywall work done. Wink

Hey, I've got plenty more up here if you get bored. Mainly plaster cracks, skim coating, sanding, priming and painting. Good ol' fashioned FUN. Il'l work you a deal on the 380. Wink

Your signal on 160 even with my puny temp antenna was the best I've ever heard you, audio-wise as well. SP-600 isn't known for hi-fi audio even into a 10" speaker, but it's not bad. Armchair copy, strong. Was running around the house taking care of chores so I missed most of the group.

I grew to liking that 380 after it was finally fixed.
Maybe this winter...
