The beautiful Collins 20V3 broadcast kW in Easton, MD, on ebay (see W3JN's posting under EBAY items in the AM Classifieds) is less than two hours from final bid and up to $1010 with 42 bidders. I thought that thing looked nice, and apparently a lot of others did also. May the biggest wallet take 'er home!

WHOA! Went for $2807, 54 bids. That may be a new record for a 1960s 4-400 broadcast transmitter.

I agree, the newer stuff was never attractive to my eye but running 4-400s and being in apparently great shape certainly helped. I think Mike/W8BAC runs one of these and loves it. Hopefully we'll get to hear this one on the air soon, too.
