I recently acquired an RBB Navy Receiver.  Not tested yet...I have a working RBC Navy that I really like..
The sensitivity is very good as is the selectivity and the filters work very well...  The RBB is .53(?) to 4000 kc, and the RBC is 4000 to 27500 kc.  I have a manual for the RBC that I downloaded (BAMA?)
The stock power supply  is large and will run two receivers...There is no provision for speaker output.  Only a headphone jack.  The manual says that it is designed to run multiple sets of hi impedance phones...I have an 8 ohm speaker plugged into mine and it has worked well for years..These are the largest receivers I have in my shack...Made by RCA..Lots of room inside...they could have been made smaller if the components were arranged by a collins engineer...I haven't looked for quite sometime but I remember finding quite a bit of info on the web when I got my first one.  Good luck and report back if you locate a manual for the RBB...Steve

Thanks for reply Steve and yes I did get a copy
of the manual e-mailed to me. I'll get started on it
soon and I'll give everyone an update...

Joe,

Nice find and I look forward to your updates.  I picked up an RBC last year and I have been waiting to find an RBB so I can go through them both at once.  At this point it seems RBB's are a bit scarce so I am going to get started on the RBC in a couple of weeks.

I've got it working some what. I need to find the meters to go in
it. That will be fun... Anyone got any tips on alignment?

Working great except for the alignment. Can't figure out how
to get into the antenna box and get to the band switch to clean
it as I don't have a complete manual. Listened to the morning
guys here in Kansas City. A lot of static on the SX-28 but the
noise blanker and the band width switch made a big differance
in cleaning up the noise. I guess thats why the government
paid over $2400.00 for this receiver. Anyone know where I
could get the meters for it?
