I heard a story years ago about a "possessed" church PA system.  Attendance was down because right in the middle of the service, the congregation would hear "Seek you, seek you, seek you the exit" from the speakers.

Since this anti-SSB church sign was posted, and being Catholic and wanting to get to the meaning of this simply out of fairness, some research reveals that, as expected, the Catholic Church has nothing against ham radio, in fact the opposite (although not specifically stated), since ham radio advances science and is helpful to those in need. Helping those in need is a tenet of the faith.

The sign in question refers to same-s3x blessings (specifically, blessing a marriage ceremony), which is outside of the core beliefs of the faith. So, I have done my best to clear this up without offending anyons and and hope to avoid the wrath of the moderators.

As to whether this uncovers a hidden agenda or of SSB (slopbucket) proponents is best not discussed further!

--added 3/16/08 - 9:21 PM CST - found out that SSB also means SS 'benefits' -such as healthcare, tax, etc. Maybe that is what the sign meant.. who knows..

GOD or MS Explorer is preventing me from seeing Don's post or any quotes from Don. All I see is an X in a square box where there would be either the link or the actual text. Strange!!!!

Must be intentional SSB jamming signals!! this whole thing is too funny. IE 6.0.2600 here. I can see one picture of the sign, posted as an attachment. The other images are "X" like you see.

So there was no real sermon on SSB of any definition? I am not surprised. It would not be unheard of for the reasons stated, but it would likely be a rare event. So what askew mind came up with this church signs thing anyway? And is it more demento to host the site or use it? Someone's been watching too much Benny Hinn!  He knocks the devils out of 'em like he's got an oil cap in his fingers! RTOFLMAO. Send your love gift now!
