Back in Sept. 2007 I obtained a Gates BC1-J.  After finding the thing was filled with problems and just too darn big for my shack, I decided to disassemble and reduce it in size.  The cabinet was cut down and rewelded to 19" standard width and the works were rebuilt (without all the problems).  This is the results.  Thought some of you might like to see the results of several long nights.
