This probably sounds like a silly question, but I'm wondering if the BC1-H has windows through which the 833s in the RF and modulator sections can be observed.

I had some similar model Gates transmitter way back in the dark ages when I was chief engineering at various broadcast stations, and that one, as I recall, did have a window.  I just don't remember which of the Gates BC1s it was.  That's pretty bad, isn't it.  I've worked at so many stations and worked on so many different transmitters, and it was more than 30 years ago, my memory has faded  Tongue

Let me know!

Thanks so much and Regards,

Steve

The BC-1J has a round window in front of each modulator and final.

Thanks again.

I'm getting sick looking at pics of a very nice TX box. I USED to have one of those. Please do not ask me why I got rid of it. Everything solid state up to the mod pubes and the 807 RF drivers. And GR8 audio. Easy to get 125% pos peaks.
