I need a two tone generator for adjustment of transmitters. I prefer something cheap and
simple, and possibly something using a computer sound card. I'm open for suggestions.
Your ideas? Thanks in advance....

Best regards,

For a sound card there are doubtless a great number of "signal generator" programs, freeware, that will generate more than one frequency. Should be sufficient and then some.

Google?

If memory serves me correctly, the Heathkit SB-610 has a two-tone generator built in. If you have one of those you could use it.

Coincidentally, I found one in my junk collection last night while looking for a microphone connector.  It is a  small tube type, built from an article in a 1955 QST.  I hooked it up and it worked perfectly.

I don't know where it came from or who built it, and didn't even remember having it, but I plan to use it as a tone generator for the T/R control function on my CQ-bot project.

Jay

Works like a charm!

I've always wanted to have a two-tone generator ... and this one is fun and simple to use.

Thanks!
