I noticed the 6146s in the V2 CDC were only doing about 300 ma off tune at 170 volts on the screen so decided to swap them out. The set I put in were not new but got more current. They draw more screen current so only have 135 volts on the screen. question when a tube loses emission does the screen current also go down?
Makes sense. Looks like I can remove the shunt 50 K to get it bact to where it belongs. One tube was a Heath and the other one looked older. Anybody have an idea of what 6146s should draw off resonance in a V2. I have a number of them I would like to check. Can I do one at a time just to see emission. Heater voltage 6.1 to 6.2.

viking 2 or viking valiant 2?

three or two 6146?

And, forget about that... what does the wattmeter say for outzpootz?

Or the 100watt lightbulb?

What does the mA. meter say in resonance?

The RCA book calls for 150ma per tube max in Class C osc & amp service... fwiw.

And 0.30 x 700vdc = 210 watts; divide by two that's 110 watts per tube, if two toobes.

V2 two 6146s. I just wonder how much juice will the power supply deliver to a pair of tubes or I could yank one. I would like to test a bunch of them. off resonance tells you how much monkey swing is left.
I'm getting just over 100 watts with the pair I just put in with low screen voltage. The tubes I took out did about 80 watts. I'm going to bring the screens up a bit to get back to 160-170V.
