Hearing KA1KAQ on 3725 kHz. It's 1130 AM ET and that's a distance of 506 miles. Looks like we better get on early, before the corntest fires up.

I will  look for refuge on the extra class portion of 75, at 3600-3700, and on the top end of 160m.  Most of the QRMtest operation will probably (or at least hopefully) be above 3700 and below 1900.

Maybe this will create an incentive for the AM community to become re-acquainted with the newly-expanded phone portion of 75/80m.

I jumped in there and talked to Todd for about 20 minutes. The conditions held right through high noon.

Steve, I'm still amazed by your call Saturday! Not only did I hear you, but clearly! Len was hearing you in Warrensburg, too. A far cry from waiting until late afternoon/early evening to work you and 'JN on 75 or 80.  Grin

Corntesters had their hands full with the same fickle band conditions in the evenings, and plenty of other activity as well. Still didn't stop some of them from cozying up next to our QSOs to scream for corn attention.

Yea, that was fun. Running 15000 watts helps.
