Hi All

I have built the PWM modulator using IR2125 (floating single channel driver) as a driver and  1 x IRFP250N. For some reason the RF Power Mosfet was blown, current rised and modulator switcher (IRFP250N) D-S was short circuited. I m thinking of paralleling IRFP250N. The question is can IR2125 drive more than one Mosfet? Maybe because of my limited knowledge I cannot find any data in datasheet to support my idea. Thanks for helps.

Are FETs supposed to glow like that?

I'll echo Brent's suggestion, to post the query on the class-e forum.....

But also please supply, if possible a diagram or description of the PWM that you built...
Voltages involved etc.

Guessing from the data sheet, you might be lucky to drive ONE of those devices with this driver.....
But depends on the rest of your circuit.....

May indeed be the reason your irfp250 failed....

i would not try to drive more than one FET with a floating driver. They were not designed to drive a lot of C. I have 2110s in my modulator soon to be someday.
I put floating drivers a 4426 to invert the phase driving a bunch in parallel all floating at the boost voltage.

Ditto Frank's comments...been there...tried that. I use IR2110s at 137 and 500 kHz and they won't drive more than one device per phase. Let smoke out of a 34N20 or two in the process...
