Ok, Ok so I won't strap on AM

In the late 60s or very early 70s the ARRL Handbook had a 6T9 xmtr in it.

As a JN I built one and could not get it to work. I wrote the the league and they told wrote me back and told me to "Check the wiring" Hey, looking back I would have told me the same thing

Now with 35+ years of experience I want to tame that beast. Can someone either tell me what year Handbook it is in so I can buy it on the net or send me a scan of the description / article so I can duplicate it?

Thanks

So I am modifying my request. Can anyone scan me a copy of the 6T9 CW transmitter article in the 1973 Handbook or lin QST March 1971, by Lew McCoy and Gus Wilson, page 25.

Thanks

I found a copy on Abesbooks.com for less than $20.  Booksellers rating not so hot, would give them a call before ordering.

Carl,

It is also in my 1971 "Understanding Amateur Radio".  Let me know if you still need a copy of the article.

If you need it, I have a copy in my '1973 "becoming a radio amateur".

I tamed the previous beast by building the 6C4/5763 transmitter in the earlier edition.  Works FB.  Let me know when you get it operating.

CW is just a narrower version of AM

Of course we want to see Novice Carl's little rig! I looked under a pile of 6DQ6's and found a copy of the 1973 Handbook which had no covers and was yellow - the League must have been experimenting with cost reduction in printing.

Enjoy all,
